    Abstract:

Standardization is an important issue in the development of new products for printed electronics.  IEC-TC119 is the Technical group of the International Electrotechnical Commission for standardization of Printed Electronics.  Experts from all over the world participate in it developing standards related to this technology and collaborate with different organizations such as IPC and JEITA.  In this webinar we will talk about standards already developed and new ones in development.

Biography:

RAKEL HERRERO Dr (F), is Project Manager at NAITEC holding a M.Sc. in Polymer Chemistry (1999) and PhD (2002) at The Manchester Metropolitan University.  She has been working in functional printing since 2006, first in functional inkjet printing and since 2011 in the Materials Deposition Area of NAITEC using different printing techniques to develop new products in printed electronics. Her job is mainly focused on printed electronics transferring knowledge to companies. Lately she has been working on bioactive materials printing, e-textile development, capacitive devices design and characterization and on the startup of a new functional inks company MATEPRINCS, which commercialized the inks developed at NAITEC. She is an expert at IEC-TC119 Printed Electronics for development of standards for PE and Spanish representative at the Advisory Group of IEC TC-119.
